So I was looking around for some Droid style wallpapers and found apk's for the live wallpapers from the Droid X and Droid 2, in a variety of colors!

These are the X wallpapers - when you move screens the eye stays in the middle but the rest of the background shifts, pretty cool. The eye part also rotates and there's some smoke moving around.

These are a couple of the Droid 2 ones, also available in green and grey, but these are the two I like. On this one the whole eye and background will shift from screen to screen, and the middle of the eye is always spinning and little particles run along the circuit board.

I attached the apk's for the red, blue, and blue with diff background Droid X wallpapers, and for the red and blue Droid 2 wallpapers. Also note you can only have one of the X and one of the D2 wallpapers installed at once.. they will just overwrite each other if you try to install another one.

I can post the other images and apk's if anyone wants them. And I didn't create these!! Just found them online!

I'm currently using the blue droid x background! I also put a still image of the red droid x wallpaper as my lock screen, goes from red to blue as I unlock it!

easiest way to get them installed, for me is:

Download the .apk file to your computer and then email it to your gmail email. On the phone, open the Gmail app and it will let you install the apk...

another way to do it is by having a file manager such as Astro, then transfer the file from your computer to the phone using the USB cable, then use Astro to find the file and it will give you the option to install it.

You guys don't use dropbox? If you make a dropbox acct (free), then get the dropbox app on your phone, you can download the apk straight to your dropbox folder on your computer and you can access it on your phone instantly. By far the easiest way!

And I made my lock screen different using lockbot, you can also use widget locker and I'm sure there's more out there. I took some screen  captures last night, I'll post them if you like.

The easiest way that I can think of is to use your One's browser and download them directly to your phone. When it's done, just install from the drop down menu, or use Astro to find it in your downloads folder. Now that I have them installed, HOW DO I INSTALL THEM?!?

Hahaha.  From your home screen go to settings>applications.  You can uninstall them from there.

Thanks buddy. Got the D2 uninstalled, but I can't seem to find the DROID X in the applications menu, even under "all." Got an idea of what it's named? Thanks for your help!

Hhmm... I don't see it either.  Can you still access it since you deleted the D2?

Yep. Checked that out first to verify the name of the wp, and it's definitely DROID X. first one on my Live Wallpaper list. I don't even see anything remotely close to what it could be in the apps list...

It's called Ocean Waves and it's a live wall paper from another Android phone.  I wish I could remember what phone it was now...uggghhhh no help I'm sorry but I saw someone else talking about it and I dug it up.  I really like it myself and it's very interactive and "live" I think.

Can't remember for the life of me what phone this comes from but I'm sure it's one of the very newest ones.  Sorry...no help, sigh.

That's weird.  I'll have to investigate a little further.

Sup buddy. Did you ever figure out how to remove the DROID X Live wallpaper?  =0)

Sorry man.  I completely forgot to post back.  What I did to remove it was use astro file manager to find it on my sd card, select it, hit open app manager, then hit uninstall.  That got rid of it.

AWESOME! um... what if I deleted the install file? hehehe

Ok.  In the first post it says you can't have 2 of the droidX installed at the same time, they'll overwrite each other.  Just download another one to your card, install it, then use the steps to unistall it and it should take care of it.

lol, just as soon as I got your reply, I thought of that as well. A big THANK YOU to you, Mr. Z!!!  =0)
