another question, when i import contacts from SIM to phone, its showing both contact, phone and SIM. now all my contact list become double (phone + SIM ). the question is can i delate it manually? would i loss my original SIM contact?  or any other solution to delate the SIM contacts from phone contact list.  Huh?

thanks in advance

If you have a Google account your contacts should automatically be backed up online at

http://www.google.com/contacts

Once in gmail, you can select two contacts and merge them.

Yes you can delete them manually or just uncheck SIM or as AdderV  said, merge them if using Gmail. Actually, I recommend using Gmail anyway.

I understood your OP to reflect that you did not have any contacts at all, so importing from the SIM would have moved just the one set of contacts. Of course, if you already had the contacts, then importing from the SIM would now give you two sets of the same thing - but hopefully those missing contacts have now showed up.
