Hi,

I have just downloaded one of these app that helps save battery and it messed up my network settings and I cant figure out how to fix it. I would appreciate if someone could help me out here.

Basically, my wifi and network connections gets disabled when my HTC XE is on Sleep Mode, i.e. I don't get any of my mails, whatsapp, vibers etc...

I did try to reset my APNs and create the new ones from scratch but it does not seem to be of any help.

Hi Phane  and welcome to the forum.


Well no one here could tell you all your settings unless they have the same model phone, the same mobile carrier and live in the exact same area as you. So my suggestion is to call your mobile carrier and retrieve those setting straight from them.

Ok. Thxs for the help.

In case someone does know how to help me out; I have a HTC One X S XE, using the Giffgaff network in the uk. I did reconfigure the APNs from the mobile carrier. I am pretty sure it must be a setting that I am missing on my phone.

Just for general reference Phane, what is the name of the app that you believe messed up your settings? And was it an Android Market endorsed app or one from an independent vendor?

What app would that be ?

After initial setup, did everything (wifi and network) work fine ?
If it did, do a backup and then do a factory reset.

The app was Easy Battery Saver. Currently in the top5 in the Android Market. It did have some network issue as you can see from its updates.

No, after the initial setup, I was trying out the modes and tried intelligent mode and that's when everything went downhill with no mobile network connection at all, even when not in sleep mode and turned on.

On a side note, yes I already did a backup and factory reset. Thanks all for your help.
