So hello! I got my HTC One X S  XE today Smiley I already have a few questions though, but that's why the forum is here init? :p

Uhm first of all, I can't seem to get my phone to vibrate when I receive an text or phonecall, it only lets me pick between having it ring and vibrate or completely silent

Second question, how do you disable the vibrations when you are typing a text, I've turned off all vibrations except that one it seems. Can't figure out how to do it.

There are two places that controls vibrate:

  • Home > Menu > Settings > Sound

  • Within many app settings themselves

Well yeah I found that, but I can't seem to put it on vibrate without it ringing too.

I use a free app called Silent Toggle Widget which puts an icon on your screen allowing you to toggle between ring, vibrate or silent. Very useful.

You don't have to install an app to do that. You can just go to the home screen and then press the volume down key until you get past the silent profile. The phone will vibrate to let you know that it's in vibrate profile.
