whenever i log in to HTCSense.com ... it always says that it cannot detect the device. I always follow the instructions on how to detect phone device, still, it cannot pair with my device. The first time i registered with sense, it was able to detect my phone, now, to no avail. Help me  Cry ... i'm using an HTC SENSATION XE.

Hi diamonddozen - Some members here say it works just fine.

I could never get it to work consistently.  Sometimes it would find my phone, other times it wouldn't. Even when it did, the location was not accurate. For GPS to be efficient, a clear view of the sky is required. A stolen or lost phone will most likely not have that advantage. I gave up on it after arguing back and forth with those ever-so-friendly-and-helpful HTC guys   Smiley

But it you want to keep trying, you need to open account and sync both in the app and online - then try the "locate your phone" test while the app is still open. As I said, not very "real world" situation.

agrees with keyplyr,

To best honest mine works most of the time but then again couple of times it does not.

Another way is to install lookout!

then log into mylookout.com to locate or scream the device. You could upgrade to pro and that extra features let you wipe and lock your phone.

To be honest if you ever loose it and someone does find it, then could restore phone to factory settings and root it and then disable all location features to which all these locating software is pointless.

most people have given up with it and pay for insurance with your policy to keep you covered.
