Hey Guy's, whilst transfering data from my xe to pc I noticed a lot of data showing for deleted video files. Audio albums would fly past in a few seconds while deleted video files were taking 30 seconds plus (estimate) to transfer. Any ideas? thanks Adam Huh?

Sorry adamb170, not following you. If these files are deleted, then how are you transferring them?

EXACTLY!!!  Smiley ive deleted several video files from gallery and assumed they were gone. However when i was transfering data from sd to pc, i was watching the transfer and audio albums were whizzing past in a few seconds while the (supposedly) deleted files were still showing and taking approx 30 seconds to transfer. This has me slightly worried as they appear to still be on my sd card somewhere. Thanks for responding Adam.

Don't know for sure, but from what you describe - while the gallery may be able to display & play the video files, it may not be able to delete them, it may only delete from view. As a solution you could install the Astro File Manager (free) from the Market. That will surely delete any kind of file from your SD card.

Did you by any chance use ES file explorer to delete the files? Just wondering coz I deleted video files too using ES file explorer. But when I connected the phone to pc the video file was still there.

Hi there capscom. I'm afraid i've never heard of es file explorer. I think my problem may have been that I was dragging the videos to the trash bin. Since then ive learnt to do a long hold on a file which gives you the option to delete. The astros file manager worked great too. Cheers Adam.

Oh okay. Now I know what you did. It's like hitting delete when deleting a file in windows. The pointer to the file is still there so you can restore it from the recycle bin. At least now we know that it's also the same in the phone.
