Just wondering if anyone is having the same problem as me, I've seen one thread on getting a blank screen and having to remove the battery, this is similar but slightly different.
My phone is less than 2 weeks old and I've probably had the screen blank out on me 5 times in that period. Most of the time the phone has gone to sleep and the power button fails to wake it up and I have to remove the battery. Once it happened after a phone call, I called a number put the phone to my ear, had to open a door, looked at the phone it was blank, put the phone back to my ear and it had been answered, continue with the phone call but afterwards the screen wouldn't come back on, thought it might be the protective case I was using, maybe covering a proximatey sensor or something. Pressed the power button a number of times, took the case of and pressed the power button again, sprang back to life. At this point I assumed it was the case and stopped using it, but it continued to happen. The last incident was another unusual one, picked the phone up, pressed the power button, screen remained blank but the soft buttons along the bottom lit up. It seemed that the screen wasn't turning on but the phone was still in working order, the vibration was still working so I was able to feel my way around and restart the phone (and stick it into airplane mode at the same time, hard work guessing where menu options will appear
). The restart fixed it.
Is this a software problem or have I bought a faulty phone, anyone have any clues?
