I bought a sim free One X from Very, a well respected company. Now a few things dont add up to me, but this is my 1st android phone and also htc. the headphones i have received are the ''URBEATS'' i was under the impression there call ''iBeats'' Huh? also i have got a 16g memory card with the phone but the memory on the phone does not seem to recognise it? the box and all its contents seem real i.e product guide etc but i did not get a cd as your normally get with phones to help with the set up.....please help???

Hi cohenb43 and welcome to the forum.

Difficult to say. There are many different ISP versions of these phones. Each IPS wants to load its own software because of deals they made with various companies.

The memory card may in fact be a fake. That is likely why your phone does not recognize it.

Both ibeats & urbeats seem to be valid brand names for the same product. There are reports of knockoffs though.

Also, not all phones come with CDs, mine didn't. I think the CDs are supplied from *some* ISPs.

on the phone my software states, android version is 2.3.4 then htc sense 3.0 more... baseband, kernel version isnt this meant to say gingerbread?

Android 2.3.4 is Gingerbread

Ok looks like I am all good, the sync is now working correctly with the phone and the memory card is also working with the phone.... all in all I am a very happy customer - looks like blackberry have lost a customer as I wont be returning..... Also I have posted another topic up regarding the HTC sync..... please if you have time take a look and let me know what you think....
