: Alternatives for Beats
: XE-IL December 31, 2011, 04:13:45 AM
Hi Guys,
Got my new XE, and loving it, but I don't like the in-ear headset I got with it, I'm more of a on-ear fan.
I've got Sennheiser PX100, but with no microphone, which means I'll need to buy a new set.
I've played a few tunes on my PX100 with Beats enabled, and it's sounds very good.

Any ideas if beats works fine with non-beats set?

Any recommendations for a good headset?

There's the MM 60 ip

And there's Beats Solo HD, which is much more expensive and I'm doubtful if its worth it:

Anything else?

Hi XE-IL  and welcome to the forum.

You could take your XE to a Best Buy (or other audio stores) and test various head phones to see how they perform and feel.

Hi,
Thank you for the greetings :)

If only we had Best Buy in Isarel..
I don't think there's an audio shop in Israel that let's you test various headphones.. Only if it were that easy :(

I've tried a different headset than the one provided with the phone. The beats audio still works even if you use another set. One brand I particularly liked is SonicGear (available here in the Philippines) because of the quality of base. I liked it better than the beats headset.

Yeah,
Beats Audio really does enhances the sound even on non-beats headset, but I've read it does so "wrong":

Yes, you're right. it seems that the beats enhancements works on some types of music but not in others. That's my personal opinion though. I also experience it that's why i bought another pair.
