So it turns out that the One's framebuffer is not as protected as it was before, which allows ShootMe to capture your screen without root permissions.
Also, ShootMe is a free app on the Market, no point in downloading it before hand.

Yes ...shootme is the app I use on my One for screen capture. You can set your task killer to not kill the shootme app, and you can shake your phone for anything. I busted out the "Draw!" app and drew something for my girl.....shook my phone...then sent her the picture in a text message =). When you snap pictures with Shootme, it creates a folder on your SDcard called "shootme" with all your pics in there. That folder will also be in your phone gallery.

You obviously have not updated your phone today. It removes the ability to root and disables picme/shootme.

shootme doesnt need root, i used before i rooted with unrevoked and had no problem..

After you update, it most certainly does need to be rooted.

It's not longer working for me either.  It's always said in the app description on the market that it required root, but before this update it worked without it. I'm just crossing my fingers the dev may be able to find a way to get it working for us without us having to root.
