Is there some app for adding info to the lock screen? It just looks so bare with the top 3/4 empty, lol. maybe some owner information, news ticker, or something?

GOTO looks sweet. I dunno about 2.99 for a lock screen app though, but it is definitely something to ponder. Thanks both of you. Any other apps I should know about before deciding?

I had GOTO and I just uninstalled it. I didn't like that the google mail app was still on the screen even though I changed the settings and Twidroyd there instead. It just urked me. My boyfriend loves it even though he thinks it's making his phone slower...I keep telling him it's his need to kill with ATK but he doesn't listen...he'll learn the hard way  Angry

I haven't tried any others and couldn't find anything worth trying when looking. I tried the free version of Screen Suite Lock Screen and liked it so much I bought the full version, its only $1.99. My swipe graphic is an android in a car, and I have the screen displaying my husband's contact information in case I lose it. It also shows the time and battery. That's sufficient for me. lol

What's nice is that it pulled my husband's contact information from my contacts list so I didn't have to fill it all in manually. Every little bit that adds to my laziness helps. Wink

Untill reading your post......I had my cell number on the if found please contact screen....I'll be in the corner now.

Hey guys, Is there a way to immediately put my phone into screen lock...say if my screen time out is set for 10 mins but yet I want to lock it after only a minute or something (you know, keep the kids out of it if I want to set it down??")

Thanks,  Joe

Do people really think someone is going to call you if they *find* your phone?  That is what insurance & wiping software is for.

No, the insurance and wiping software is IN CASE they don't call and return the phone, but yes, you'd be surprised at the number of good Samaritans still alive and kicking in this world that will return things if they can figure out who to return them to.

You're pressing it too long if you get those options. Just "hit" it. Don't keep your finger on it for more than 2 seconds.

It happened to me. I left my Mogul (back when the Mogul was a "hot" phone) on the platform of the 125th St. Station in Harlem. Someone found it and turned it in to one of the ticket windows. The very (very) nice lady there knew that it would be lost forever if she turned it into the MTA lost and found so she called me herself (I didn't even know the phone was missing until she called). Now, I live 70 miles north of the city so going in to pick up the phone would have been a pain (not as much as losing the phone), but still the better part of a day I didn't want to use up. It turns out the ticket agent lived about 20 minutes away from me so she gave me her home address and I picked up the phone from her place! She even invited me in and we sat around and had coffee!! Smiley

Hopefully Sprint/HTC will bring the new HTC Sense to the One (and not cripple it) which looks like it has a nice lock screen.

I'm assuming you click the "Thank You" button on the top right of the message.

This doesn't secure the phone, it just brings up the lock screen. How do you lock the phone so it requires the security code to get back in?
