hey guys,
let me fill you in on the back story, i have navionics on the home computer and phone seen and i ice fish alot around this time. well my phone app doesnt show as much detail and the computer version and found the "perfect spot" to fish. well i have tried everything in google maps to try and type longitude/lat

it shows up as 43* 24.185 N  -88*15.098 W

i have tried in google search

loc:43.24.185,-88.15.098

43 24' 185'',-88 15' 098''

just straight typing it in

In reply to the Original question of why lat/long can't be entered into Google Maps.
Google Maps needs the Lat/Long in decimal format NOT degrees/min/sec format.
Enter "lat, long"
Example: 43.204, -93.403

so how would you enter the example i have?

First convert degree/min/sec to decimal:
First hit in a Google Search of how to convert was the FCC site:
http://www.fcc.gov/mb/audio/bickel/DDDMMSS-decimal.html (http://www.fcc.gov/mb/audio/bickel/DDDMMSS-decimal.html)
Then enter the result into the Google Maps search as:

43.45, -88.25

SW of Sheboygan right?
