hi! i am facing trouble in connecting my htc One S to a router....i got a broadband plan( a username and a password type one...) at home...i connected the modem(supporting the above mentioned broadband plan) to a i connect this router from my shows connected and i am able to access net....but when i try to connect same router to my htc One shows "Scanning.....then....Obtaining IP address from *****....." and then suddenly it shows disconected!!...
tell me what should i do?? should i install some "static internet connection" type app???
or do i need to make some changes in "IP Settings -> Use static IP ->                                                        ip address..gateway...netmask...dns1...dns2.."...if so, tell me how to find out these things...
Currently, itz( 'Use static ip' ) switched off....

when i take the same router to my collg...and type the proxy IP address and port number(given by collg.) in     wifi-> advanced (settings)...and switch on the transparent proxy app (and here also i type the proxy IP address and port number) shows connected and i am able to access net....
(without transparent proxy it shows connected but i cant access net...sites don't open) i think that means nothings wrong with my phone...
basically my phone works well with proxy....but not on static internet connections.....

guys,help me!

Your router may not be allowing new devices to be set up.
Have a look at that. Also check the channel your router is working on with something like InSSIDer. (Free PC software)

DHCP should be working fine, but if not: simply check in your router settings if DHCP is setup and if the ranges are fine. Note that if your router is violating the modem integrated router functions IP space then it will most certainly lead to problems...

Firstly my HTC mobile is enable to search other bluetooth devices, if it does it so then also it does not connect properly.
